MARTIAL ARTS ASSOCIATION
The association began classes for training students in Karate from the very beginning of the year.
Classes were held twice a week and a special two day camp was also organized. A grading Test was also conducted for the senior students.
The association also conducted a special class in self defense, for the members of the women’s forum. The association also will be conducting one more special camp and grading test before the end of this academic year 2008-2009. Sensei Ragupathi was also invited to train the members in unarmed combat and shortly Sensei K.M.Babu,4th Dan Black Belt and Chief Examiner of sho-Shin Ryu Karate had came for a two day training session in Karate for the benefit of the members.
The Martial Arts Association has been imparting regular training in Karate to the students coming into its fold every year since its inception in 1987. It is one man’s show since that man joined the institution i.e Mr.T.P.Baburaj, Associate Professor in Dept of English, a black-belt holder. A course in self-defence was conducted by him to empower the members of women’s forum of Crossland College, Brahmavar.
